NORTHGATE SEATTLE - WA

Project: “Northgate” Street Lighting System

Location: Northgate, Seattle, Washington (urban area / roadways and parking lots)

Concept and Architecture

The design is based on a raw, geometric form that extends the principles of modern minimalism. The distinctive, angled cut of the arm and integrated head gives the lamp a dynamic profile. The structure was designed as a striking, vertical urban accent that fits perfectly into the modern, dense commercial and residential development and the infrastructure of the transit hub in the Northgate district.

Functionality and Design

Directional Lighting and Sky Protection: LED modules concealed beneath a sharp bevel direct the light beam asymmetrically downward, precisely illuminating roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks. The design eliminates upward light emission, preventing light pollution and meeting strict environmental standards.

Materials: The solid, circular pole and head are made of extruded aluminum and steel, powder-coated in light gray. The design ensures high rigidity and resistance to urban vibrations.

Weather resistance: The luminaire’s coating and sealing guarantee complete protection against prolonged, heavy rainfall and humidity, characteristic of Seattle’s climate.
