G20 Globes Yakima
The “G20 GLOBE” Project
The goal of the project is to transform public space into a place with a unique, dreamlike character through the use of suspended spherical light fixtures. The installation was inspired by the natural glow of the moon, which is reflected in the milky-white structure of the shades and the soft, diffused light they emit.
Key Objectives:
Visual Effect: The luminaires are arranged at varying heights, creating a sense of three-dimensionality and depth, reminiscent of a starry sky under a full moon.
Functionality and Aesthetics:
During the day, the white forms serve as a modern sculptural element that harmonizes with the surroundings, while after dark they take on the role of the main source of ambient lighting, eliminating harsh shadows and creating a sense of security.
Structure:
The suspension system using steel cables allows for flexible installation above walkways or parking lots, lending industrial infrastructure a sense of lightness and elegance.
The use of luminaires with varying diameters further dynamizes the composition, ensuring that every viewing angle of the installation offers a different aesthetic experience. The materials used guarantee durability and weather resistance, while maintaining the pristine white of the shades for years to come.
