MOUNT VERNON HIGH SCHOOL - WA
MOUNT VERNON HIGH SCHOOL - WA
Project: “Mount Vernon High School” Lighting System
Location: Mount Vernon High School, San Diego, California (educational zone / main entrances)
Concept and Aesthetics
The luminaire combines modern LED technology with a classic cup shape, blending seamlessly with the historic red-brick architecture of the school building. Symmetrical, arched arms supporting the luminaire’s flat plate lend the structure elegance, creating a welcoming and prestigious atmosphere at the school’s entrance.
Specifications and Performance
Construction: A slender black pole topped with a two-part bracket. The matte finish contrasts with the light-colored facade and concrete bases, on which the luminaires are mounted to enhance their protection and visibility.
Lighting: A flat, downward-facing LED module provides soft, diffused light, ideal for illuminating pedestrian walkways and forecourts without dazzling users.
Integration with the surroundings: Thanks to their compact size, the luminaires do not obscure the building’s architectural details, serving as a subtle visual accent during the day and ensuring safety after dark.
